  1. Technology & Learning Magazine Online
    Technology & Learning, with a circulation of more than 78,000, is a leading publication in the world of educational technology. Written for K-12 school administrators, teachers, and technology coordinators, it is the magazine educators turn to for product information and guidance in improving and expanding upon the use of technology in their schools and districts. T&L's Web Site includes a look at the latest Table of Contents, a way to subscribe to the magazine and professional development courses, the current Editorial calendar, feature articles and a searchable database of more than 300 software reviews of educational programs that have been reviewed over the past several by the T&L editorial staff. Includes Quick Picks, Comparisons, Award-Winners and Product Announcements.
  2. California Instructional Technology Clearinghouse
    The Clearinghouse evaluates technology resources for the state of California. It's a statewide collaboration which eliminates unnecessary duplication of effort, ensures consistency of evaluations, and provides publishers and producers with one central contact point for evaluation of instructional technology resources in California. The Web site includes an impressive searchable database of all reviews published over the past 13 years.
  3. CollegeNET
    CollegeNET is a free Internet guide to colleges and universities which provides students with a web-based tool for identifying and then applying to institutions that fit their needs. The site is also inaugurating a new free scholarship search database featuring more than $1 billion in scholarships. The site also offers virtual campus tours and lots of valuable information about Financial Aid.
  4. Apple Education:WorldWide
    This web site is useful for the Apple Computer-Using Schools and educators. It Provides access to Apple Education news and events, confidential price lists for educators and educational institutions, reports on ACOT projects (Apple Classrooms of Tomorrow) and more.
  5. Software Publisher's Association - Education Section
    The Education Section of the SPA is a group of more than 650 member companies whose common business objective is to publish educational software for the K-12, home, adult, special education, preschool, and post secondary education markets. Of particular interest is a lobbying group that communicates the benefits of educational technology to policy makers.
    This page contains copyright protection laws and information on the legal use of intellectual property, current standards for hardware configurations and standards for K-12 curriculum as it pertains to software.
  6. BonusPoint - Internet Resources
    Educational Software Institute is proud to announce a partnership with the BonusPoint, a leaderin Internet Resources for Teachers. This is the place to head if you are looking for a source for knowledge of Internet products, solid advice, quality explanations and training on new technologies.
  7. Teachers Helping Teachers
    "Teachers Helping Teachers" is a k-12 website that was created to "provide basic teaching tips to inexperienced teachers, to provide new ideas in teaching methodologies for all teachers and to provide a forum for experienced teachers to share their expertise and tips with colleagues around the world." This is accomplished through shared lesson plans, online chats, links to relevant web sites and a "stress reduction moment" that will probably have you e-mailing your friends to lighten their day.
  8. Teacher Talk Forum
    A site with articles and a discussion forum related to the issues of teaching adolescents is hosted by Indiana's Center for Adolescent Studies. Although the name of the service is "Teacher Talk" there are also sections with links designed to allow teens to find information and contribute to projects (such as online magazines) on their own.
  9. Teacher Zone
    Finally, for a site that focuses on k-12 education in the format of a "single-source news and information service about technology for teachers & principals by teachers & principals" you can visit the "Teacher Zone". This site includes news, an "ask the expert" area, discussions and lesson plans.
